Removing polish residue
Tickopur RW77 effectively removes (manufacturing) polish residue. Tickopur RW77 works best when applied at a temperature between 60 and 65 degrees and dissolved in tap water at a 5% mix ratio.

Removing de-oxidation (black residue)
Undiluted Tickopur J80U can be used to remove black residue from silver. Tickopur J80U must never be used directly in the tank. You could use a suspended container with a contact fluid between the tank and the container. Do not continue the cleaning process for longer than 30 seconds. See the video for an example in which Tickopur J80U is used for indirect cleaning.

Gold- and silversmiths generally use Tickopur RW77 and Tickopur J80U.

Take care when cleaning jewellery that is not pure gold or silver. Items that are glued into place can be dislodged by the ultrasonic cleaning process. Besides this, materials other than gold or silver can be damaged by ultrasonic cleaning.
When cleaning silver-plated items, keep a close eye on the process and keep the cleaning time short. If silver-plated items are damaged, the layer of silver can be dislodged during the cleaning process.
